This was a year of TransiTion for The cross counTry Team as The majoriTy of members were new To The Team. Since cross counTry running focuses primarily on inaiviaual efforT raTher Than Teamwork, The Team's goals for The season aimecl aT personal imorovemenT for each member. The Team was successful in achieving This goal noT only because workouTs were sTrenuous, buT also because Team members aevoTea many hours of Their own Time To running CapTain Susie Fiore, along wiTh managers Linda DanTz ana 1?'4'

AlThough The consTrucTion of The new gym posed an inconveience To The Tennis Team, The Team was graTeful To play aT The Tennis Place which provided numerous courTs and a snack bar. Many pracTices early in The season enabled The VarsiTy and Junior VarsiTy Teams To improve This year. Some of Their games were played againsT Bishop MonTgomery and PolyTechnic School. The Teams also Traveled To SanTa Barbara for a pracTice maTch againsT SanTa Barbara High School. Marlborough's league is comprised of Two oTher schools, MarymounT and WesTlake. AlThough The MarymounT Team was a greaT challenge, The MusTangs won boTh maTches againsT Them.
