Merry Mart was an exciting combination of Christmas trees in varying heights and sizes, booths containing both edibles and nonedibles, a silent auction and an auto raffle. The car was a beautiful Volkswagon Rabbit. A new addition to this year's Merry Mart was the Student Booth where only students could buy articles such as satin clouds, wicker pin cushions, and carrot jump ropes. All were sold for less then 35.00. Hot dogs, soups, fruit and popcorn were available to sustain both students and patrons who were able to complete their Christmas shopping at the handcraft and bakery booths. The Wassail party was held on Sunday in the new gym. Teachers, students and families, and alumni were present at the occasion. Delicious dishes were available on the plentiful buffet tables. Everyone danced the evening away to a band that played festive Christmas carols. Mr. Chumbook drew the lucky raffle ticket which was won, for the first time, by junior Cindy Boyd. All in all, Merry Mart was a huge success as a fundraiser and exciting Christmas event. Counterclockwlse from top left: T. McMenamin, C. Barnes: M. An- tonni, M. Milliken. V. Eastus. A. Jones. K.
