Wm., X Division is a group of assistants to aid the Executive Officer in his administrative duties. The Personnel office is responsible for enlisted service records and all cor- respondence related to the enlisted men. The Captain's Office maintains officer's records and any related correspondence. The Library contains the Chaplain's Office and is also the educational center of the ship. The Master at Arms force is the ship's policemen and see that regulations are adhered to. The Postal Clerks handle all the mail, which is the biggest morale booster. The Radarmen's iob is to collect, evaluate and disseminate combat in- formation. This information is gathered through the use of radar, radio, intelligence and loolcouts. Radarmen also assist when the ship is within radar distance of land. The Signalmen are responsible For all visual communication, through the use of flaghoist, Flashing light and semaphore. All communications other than visual are handled by the Radiomen, by radio, tele- type and CW communications. The Quartermaster's field is navigation. They assist the navigator in determining the ship's location, maintaining current and up to date the ship's log of happenings on the ship. They chart all waterways and plot a safe course For the ship.
