W LIPPLY DEPT. Leon R. G. Carberry, Jr.. SC, USN Supply Officer The Supply Department encompasses the Stores, ADP, Food Service, Ship Store- Clothing Small Stores, and Disbursing- Stewards Division. The Stores-ADP Division maintains the storerooms that include every- thing from string and clothing to boat engines and gun barrels. The ADP Section maintains the stock, financial and maintenance records of both the Supply and Repair Departments in key punch format and operate the Computer The Food Service Division personnel are the gourmet specialists preparing delicacies for the crew. They prepare the menus, store the groceries, prepare the food, and serve the meal. In other words, they handle the whole program of food services from soup to nuts. The Ship Store and Clothing Small Stores Division take care of all personal needs. Their services include laundry, barnbering, tailoring, cobbler, soda fountain, and retail store for toilet articles and various sundry items. The Small Stores stocks clothing of a uniform nature. This includes everythin9 from shoes to white hat. The Disbursing Stewards Division is one near and dear to all. They are the ones that make every other Thursday a little brlghlel' when they set up the pay line. The StewC1rCl5 are the men who look after the Officers W0 d' l'00m, Prepare their food and take care Of all the officer staterooms.

These men also train the Boatswains Mates of First and Second Divisions in operating the four 3 5O gun mounts. In addition they provide instruction for the entire crew on the handling, care, and safe use of small arms. Third Division duties do not end with the limits ofthe MARKAB. They provide technical assistance to all ships that fall under MARKAB's care.
