They procure, receive, stow, issue and ac- count for equipment, repair parts, and con- sumable supplies required by the ship. They also disburse Government funds, pay bills, pay the crew and accounts for funds. They have charge of the general mess and also supervise the ship ' s store and the issue of clothing and small stores. In addition, the Supply Department must procure parts for u.se by the Repair Department in the repair of customer ships.
