’ Page seven The Ad Building is the center of school activities. It is a three-story brick structure. It contains of¬ fice, laboratories, class¬ rooms and the chapel. Congress Hall is a two-story brick structure that serves as a dormitory for men. It is located on the East Campus. Yea, team! Let’s go! The gymnasium is the center of athletic activities for both men and women. It contains a basketball floor and dressing rooms. These rooms are fitted with lockers and showers.

It is with pride that we look to one of our own who has made great strides in the field of religious education. Dr. Wilbur T. Dayton, a man of wisdom and strong Christian char¬ acter, came to Marion College in 1943 from Northern Baptist Seminary. He received his A. B. and B. D. degrees from Houghton College. The degree of Master of Religious Education was granted him at Northern Baptist. In 1943 he was awarded the Doctor of Theology degree from the same institution. After being at Marion two years, he was made Assistant Dean of Theology. The position of Acting Dean was given him in 1947 and Dean in 1949. He is also chairman of the committee on “Cultural and Religious Life,” which sponsors the Student Conference. In connection with this, he has much to do with the work of the gospel teams. Dr. Dayton is making a tour of the Holy Land in July and August of this year. For the years of service he has given to Marion College, it is with heartfelt gratitude and esteem that this volume of the Marionette is dedicated to him.
