The purpose of the league was to give physical training and Q athletic sportsmanship to boys not on the varsity with the possibility of some Q of them becoming Giants of the future. if , , af i . . . . . . 3TFl 5. Q Any team organized by and composed of high school students was eligible ffl Q for entrance to the league. Thirteen teams were organized and were placed in- Q to leagues and games scheduled between the members of each by Coach Thomas. . 4 xl fi . . . . . . 'ell iff S The teams in the first league according to their final standing were the ul i' Artesians, first: Bears and the Ramblers tied for second: Doo-Dads, Meteors 3 Q and Bull Dogs. ig ' if l Q The Wampus Cats led the second league, The standing of the remain- Q ing six teams were Black Cats, second: Trig Sharx, Miller Specials, Blue Devils, 13 Q Dwarfs and the Forget-Me-Nots. ii: .Q f' S ln the final game for League Championship the Artesians outshot the -' Wampus Cats 44-20. The Artesian Team was composed of Michaels. Barnes, E R Vice, Laughlin, Bibler, Cousins and Moore. As League Champions they were 5 Q presented with medals by the school. I Q Q - 5 . 5-ri
