K -Q-.ur .I unkm and Burleson Our Principal - Mr. james H. Iunkin We are happy for the elementary school whose new facili- ties are almost completed. We know what a problem it is to be working on a scattered campus and have unfamiliar and tem porary settings. MCHS will be ready for a five year evaluatior follow-up by Southern Association of Colleges and Schools ir the school year of 1980-81. We are also due for a self-study by the State Department of Education for continuing statn accreditation. Even though we plan to continue with a sevei C71 period day next year, we are thinking strongly of requirini all students to take six Q63 subjects. This would expose them tc more opportunities for learning. We realize that most students are capable of doing mucl better than they are doing. Our goal is to help them rise abovi complacency and to higher achievement. According to result from the standardized tests mandated from the State Depart ment of Education last spring our students scored above th state and national averages.
