The Business Education Department is special because it requires students to ap- ply the knowledge and skills they have learned in other disciplines to a field which can train them for the real world of work and daily living. Economics and account- ing polish math skillsg typing and dictation spruce up English grammar and sentence structure. According to department chair- man Marion Harris, every aspect of the department is student-oriented for the fu- ture. Typing rooms are equipped with electic typewriters and students get ample practice writing business letters and typing important forms. ln a computer-literate society, the abili- ty to type is becoming more and more vital.
