EX A ,Winning Season Boys Baseball This year's varsity baseball team took on a whole new look. First of all, instead of only having one or two coaches, there were five. Paul Renfrow was the head coach, and each of the other coaches had a specific duty, whether it be improving the pitching, catching, or whatever. Secondly, the team had its home field back after three years of renovation. Thirdly, many of the players had the experience of playing a different position, which, more times than not, worked out for the better. All of these things combined showed evidence of much improved playing and renewed confi' dence. Outstanding players were returning sen- iors David Emmons, Robby Hanson, Greg Knuff, and Chris Sublette. Dan Jensen, who is only a sophomore, was a great pitcher with great potential. Steve Block- dyk was also a very good returning senior, along with Mike Dee. Overall, this team did an excellent job! ,,,tt, Matt Hattabaugh concentrates on the ball mst? Batter Llp!! J .V. Baseball This year's Junior Varsity team, under the coaching of John and Mike Bartusic, showed great potential for being such a young and unexperienced team. Being as such, this year proved to be one of grow- ing, learning, and skill developing. Their positive mental attitudes were the driving force keeping the team together, and never giving up. The team practiced every day, rain or shine. Due to 'this devotion and unity, the team was strong in facing even their toughest opponents. This team did as well as they did be- cause of such players as Mike Ashdown, David Mojica, and Tony Preall. This team will be a great asset for future teams to come. Overall, this growing team has had a very productive year.
