EX Kicks With Talent T Varsity Soccer This year's Varsity Soccer team put forth a tremendous amount of time and effort, even though their record didn't show it. Finishing with a 3-6-1 record over- all, they lost many close games, which were decided in the last few minutes. The Soccer team finished in the fifth place of the Sunset League. But the team showed their true potential when they were trailing the Westminster Lions by a score of 4 to 1 with thirty minutes left in the ball game and then came back to win the game by a score of 5-4 in the second half. ln that game, Pat Penner scored a phenomenal 4 goals. Under the inspiring coaching of Head Coach Dave Mcleish, the team concluded its season by beating Edison, 4-1. Outstanding players include: Pat Pen- ner, Tom McClane, Robert Long, Andy Kyler, Barry Kyler, Brett Harris, and Randy Wolfe. Go Marina!
