The girls were then escorted by their fathers down the red carpet to await the announcement of the queen. Everyone's attention was directed toward the West end of the field where Dawn's name was lit up in a burst of light and noise. 108 Pepsters Pepsters Show Spirit! Spirit is the name of the game and this group of people have what it takes. The 1984- 85' Pepsters started their year with lots of dedication and confidence that the coming year would be great and full of fun. The cheers that the Varsity Yell, J.V. Yell, and the Song Leaders made up were able to keep every Viking cheering for their team. This year's Viking Odin, Jock Petersen, al- ways made sure that everybody had a smile on their face and pride in their heart. Ms. Harris, the group's advisor, is the very impor- tant lady who keeps the squads cheering and organized. Not only did they cheer at games but the Pepsters are the people responsible for the painted posters, wierd outfits during spirit week, and putting on the annual Sadie Hawa kins Dance. So when ever you hear someone yell Go Vikings! you will know who to thank. That way the pepsters will know all their long days practicing and freezing cold nights cheering were worth it.
