,bis fb C2 is efrolx ex ,bo 106 Homecoming Homec The clock was reset and the players headed toward the locker room and this marked the beginning of the Homecoming Halftime Show. One finalist was Denise Allen, a member of drill team her junior year and was a Varsity Yell Leader. Joelle Carr was our next finalist, she was a three year member of the Color Guard and was Captain, she was also in' volved in the Spanish Club and AFS. Next came Deanne Evans who was a Song Leader, she was also a drill team member her sopho- more year and a captain of the team her junior year. Dawn Smith was our fourth fina' list, she came to Marina her senior year and she was a cheerleader at her previous school. Lastly came Lisa Wright, who was a member of the drill team her sophomore year, J.V. Yell Leader her junior year, and a Varsity Yell Leader her senior year. oming Bursts The finalists and last year's queen, Su- zanne Stead, made another trip around the field with a crowd of walking crayons, danc- ers, and confetti throwers trailing behind. The girls were then escorted by their fathers down the red carpet to await the announcement of the queen. Everyone's attention was directed toward the West end of the field where Dawn's name was lit up in a burst of light and noise. Queen Dawn accepted the crown amidst the clapping of the crowd and the bulb flashing from the cameras. Dawn then as- cended the steps to the top of the float so that she and her court could take the last ride around the field for the final presentation to the student body, alumni, and parents. The night ended with a victory for the Vikings and a memorable event for all.
