Smokers' Clinic Set up by the American Tuber culosis Association, the purpose of the Smokers' Clinic is to make students aware of smoking pat terns, philosophies and reasons for smoking. The clinic was de signed as an informative unit to help students quit, or cut down on smoking. However, there is no force on the student to quit smoking. Our administration feels that it is a better method to teach the students the truth on smoking rather than suspending the pupil All new to the English Department curriculum were the classes Man and Communication, Sports, Literature, and Science Fiction. Above is a pic- ture of Mr. Parmentier's sixth period Man and Communication class, popu- larly known as the Communication Game. If you were a privileged male stu- dent at Marina you could have en- rolled in the second period guitar class which was taught by the illustri- ous Mr. Thompson. The Business Department changed its entire method of teaching last semester. Pupils who enrolled in one of the department's classes found him self working on Learning Activity packages, at his own pace. This pro- gram was designed to allow the more advanced students to work at a more accelerated speed, and for the slower learners to take their time to develop their skills. --55, .-..,, Changing Curriculum
