Through participating in vari- ous competitions and tournaments the club members become the 1971-1972 California State Champions. They also compete in the Orange County Chess League which they organized themselves. Some of the plans for this year were frequent rides, field trips to the races, and most important--the annual Horse Show. These are just some of the many activities that the members of this club enjoy. Ancbcfiy RIFLE AND ARCHERY CLUB Rifle and Archery was a new club at Marina this year, the advisor being Mr. Obie Moore. The activities of this club are just what the title says. The members go to shooting ranges and practice to improve their skills. The members would like to thank Obie for taking his time to help them improve their shooting skills. wliogg BOWLING CLUB Marina's Bowling Club is an organization set up purely for the benefit and enjoyment of the students. The forty members of this club participate in an established league at West- minster Lanes. This year's officers were: Shawn Nepo, president5 Dave Nixon, vice-presidentg and Laura Camplbell, secretary! treasurer. 199
