Some of the plans for this year were frequent rides, field trips to the races, and most important--the annual Horse Show. These are just some of the many activities that the members of this club enjoy. The club officers are as follows: Shirley Myers, President, Joni Hatch, Vice-President, Kim Lowe, Secretary, Cassandra Benson, Treasurer, and Sharon Bruns, Historian. The Three Muskateers. aciio This year Radio Club out-did all its previous years on campus. Projects for the year included many new ideas never before tried at Marina. Among these plans were an amateur radio station, amateur television station along with other interest- in and useful individual projects. Tlge reason for these activities is to further educate students to radio, television, and other uses of electronics and to stimulate inventiveness and individual accomplishments. President this year was Ed Falzon, and Club advisor was Mr. Clifner 0 Daly ECO LOGY C LUB The purpose of Ecology Club is education, involvement, and action on or relating to the issue of ecology. By ecology we mean the relationship of all living things to their environ- ment. Our action related to handling the problems of pollu- tion, overpopulation, destruct- ion of natural resources and other ecological issues. C The Marina Chess C1ub's main purpose this year was preparing for the Western Open. Through participating in vari- ous competitions and tournaments the club members become the 1971-1972 California State Champions. They also compete in the Orange County Chess League which they organized themselves.
