aciio This year Radio Club out-did all its previous years on campus. Projects for the year included many new ideas never before tried at Marina. Among these plans were an amateur radio station, amateur television station along with other interest- in and useful individual projects. Tlge reason for these activities is to further educate students to radio, television, and other uses of electronics and to stimulate inventiveness and individual accomplishments. President this year was Ed Falzon, and Club advisor was Mr. Clifner 0 Daly ECO LOGY C LUB The purpose of Ecology Club is education, involvement, and action on or relating to the issue of ecology. By ecology we mean the relationship of all living things to their environ- ment. Our action related to handling the problems of pollu- tion, overpopulation, destruct- ion of natural resources and other ecological issues. , -rr 1A 2 QC garb aw ng SCUBA DIVING CLUB Scuba Diving Club is a new club formed just this year. lt consists of fifteen members who are all certified scuba divers. The activities scheduled for this year were diving trips to Mexico, Catalina, and many trips along the California coast. Camping in the mountains and a trip along the Colorado River were also a part of this year's plans. The club officers for this year were: Brad Pierce, Presidentg jeff Spindler, Vice-presidentg Debbie Campisi, Secretary, and Mike Fitzpatrick, Treasurer. hi SKI CLUB The purpose of Ski Club is to tell and get people interested in skiing. We encourage people who don't know how to ski to come to the meetings, so the people who do know how to ski can share their experiences with them. Special activities of the ski club this year were skiing demonstrations, a ski trip to Mammoth and various locations in Big Bear, and seeing films and listening to guest speakers. Officers of Ski Club this year were: Denise Rimmer, Presidentg Doug Dean, Vice-presidentg Mike Prime, Treasurerg Kathy Yancy, Secretaryg Saskia Lodder, Historiang and Mr. Keller, Advisor. 195

Some of the plans for this year were frequent rides, field trips to the races, and most important--the annual Horse Show. These are just some of the many activities that the members of this club enjoy. The club officers are as follows: Shirley Myers, President, Joni Hatch, Vice-President, Kim Lowe, Secretary, Cassandra Benson, Treasurer, and Sharon Bruns, Historian. The Three Muskateers.
