LATIN CLUB The main activity for Latin Club this year was its annual Roman Banquet in March. All the Latin classes participate in this event. The banquet consists of a Roman dinner, -entertain- ment, and the annual awards for achievement in Latin. During the course of the banquet the first year Latin students act as slaves, serving the meals and obeying all orders. This year, the Latin Club also participated in the ASB carnival and planned several parties and field trips. The officers this year were: Maureen Bailey and Russ Bennett, consulsg Ron Banfield, pro-consul, Shelley Bailey, secretaryg Heidi Hetzler, juno 5 Dana Skaggs, jupiter. 4 D Slave Marian Barrit is serving Heide Juno Hetzler, Gladiators are always a popular event at a Roman Banquet. 3 Gcfim an GERMAN CLUB German Club's purpose is not purely educational. Instead, it is a fun-filled gathering of students who enjoy activities with a club which is still affiliated with their German classes. Activities include parties, field trips, and picnics. Learning about other cultures is interesting and we hope that German will become a part of any interested student's curriculum. Officers this year were: Nancy Hare, presidentg vice president-Valerie Parkg secretary, Roxanne Marcouxg and treasurer, Stephanie King. sativa icing CREATIVE WRITING Creative Writing produces the RUNES, Marina'S literary magazine. The Creative Writing Club gives encourage- ment to students to try their hand at writing for their own staisfaction. Mrs. Anderson is the advisor and anyone is invi- ted to join this club. FRENCH CLUB The French Club officers this year were Gigi Leard, presidentg Sherrie Koons, Vice-presidentg Sheiela Jacobs, secretaryg and Mario Cateriny, treasurer. French Club sponsored two bake sales, presented Christmas gifts to all the patients at Stanley Convalescent Home, and had French dinners at restaurants and members' homes. As you can see, French Club has been Very active, learning about French culture and language.
