Their biggest project of the year is the Marina-Westminster Rotary Invitational Basketball tourna- ment. Months of planning go into getting ready for this tournament. One of the highlights of this game is the crowning of the Queen of Courts. Five girls are nominated for this honor by the basketball team. Inter- act then chooses the Queen. Our congratulations go to Miss Carolyn Clark, Queen of Courts 1971-1972. Her court was as follows, Stephanie Blase, Terry Carter, Diane Russ Bennett' Parker, and Jolie Zetler. u P Anchors Anchor Club is a senior girls' organization which purpose is to serve the school and the sur- rounding communities. This year's activities started with serving as Big Sisters at the Big- Little Sister Breakfast. Other projects that followed were, Christmas gifts for retarded children, a food basket for a needy family, serving at various banquets and other functions for the school. The officers are as follows Susie Yabuki, presidentg Judy Douglass, vice-presidentg Carol Marcotte, secretaryg Jeannie Dunn, treasurerg and Margaret Armstrong, Historian. f fam ily. Pol Ris Being a service club, Polaris Club's purpose is centered mainly around help- ing their community and Marina itself. It's main projects this year were a potluck dinner for new members, caroling at nearby convalescent homes and having an Easter party for the handicapped. In serving Marina, Polaris members have ushered at graduation and served at various other functions this year.
