Ol , 1 With a three win and five loss record, the Junior Varsity Football Team ended its season by losing to Lowell High School of San Francisco on November 17. After suffer ing defeats in the first four games, the J, V, 's overcame their next three opponents, Tamalpais, Tomales, and St. Vincent's of San Rafael. Offensivelyanddefensively, the team, as a whole, improved progressively throughout the season. The number of de- feats was not due to a lack of spirit or ability, but to a more ex erienced and ower P P ' ful opposition. In a post-season election, the team selected Steve Elder and Robert Lewis as co-captains. J, V. A II FRO Il F00'l'BALL Six, 7, 13, then 26--these were the points amassed by our fresh- man team in their first four games. They presented us a lesson in steady improvement. The climax of their season was M. C. 's first football win over Drake. Spirit, hustle, and teamwork marked their every game. Ina post-season election, the team selected Pat Donahue and Jim O'Su1livan as co-captains.

I2 if 'inn' R 1 HI H lynn' It A K- I -4. :Nut ...I . , MARI CATIl0LlC'S IFS All Il' The saying Big things come in small pack- ages is certainly true of the C's and D's basket- ball teams, especially of the D's. They not only won ll out of l3 games, but also took the unof- ficial Marin County championship by defeating all local opponents. The C's didn't fare as well, winning only 3 out of 10 games. However, those 3 wins were over Drake, San Rafael and Tarn, Furthermore, the C's were beaten by Santa Rosa, fig the N, B, L. Champs, by only 2 pts., the game ending at 38-36 after a triple overtime. This was the best season experienced by Fr. Dullea since becoming coach of these two fine teams. BOB DeROSA JN BJEDEIROS
