Service, Character, Leadership, and Scholarshi Sixty-four members were inducted into National Honor Society in February. This was the largest number ever tapped. An honorary society, NHS inductees are required to have leadership, service, and character as well as scholarship quali- ties. Formal initiation was held April 18 at the end of a probationary period. Members performed such services as the orientation program for sophomores and new students, oper- ating the bookstore, and tutoring other students. The National Honor Society Scholarship Fund provided worthy seniors with aid. The fund was contributed to by the Scholarship Team, another NHS sponsored activity. Advised by lVlrs. Representatives Co-ordinated School Activities Arranging club meetings on different nights and keeping projects from clashing was the goal of Inter-Club Council. Each school-sponsored organization was asked to send a re- presentative to the meetings. lt was hoped that better com- munication between clubs would be produced, 22
