Honors Came To Man students during and before the school year, honors which were worked for and cherished after received. Only through hours of repititious practice each day was Mari- etta Cheng lAl able to achieve her proficiency as a pianist. Winner of several scholarships, Marietta has attended lnterlochen National Music Camp for two successive years and has attained national fame. Also receiving recognition outside of Marietta was John Greacen lBl with his science project Aerodynamics of Autoracing. After building his own wind tunnel, John has won ten Superior awards since his freshman year. Ginny Cole lCl had the oppor- tunity to travel for six weeks in Europe this past summer. Going with the People to People campaign, she was to try to increase communications among peoples of the world. First and third places in the Future Business Leaders of America contest were won by Wendy Weihl lDl and Cindy Johnson lEl. Wendy placed for her typing abilities and Cindy for her filing and typing skills. Also connected with FBLA, Debbie Ward lFl was elected as Vice-President of the Southeastern District. Only a sophomore, Debbie had many responsibilities on her shoulders during her term of office. g -..A
