Although the concept of fashion and of being fashionable is by no means recent, new styles and new clothes continue to ex' cite members of both sexes. The latest thing and the totaI look are in- variably adopted all over the globe: no place is exempted. But the up-to-the-minute styles are just revivals ofthe Fashion from another era. Nlaxi coats lAl and skirts are unquestionably the basic style of a preced- ing age. Hair lB and Cl can be shaped short, medium, or long, designers have only those three choices. Heels-fat or skinny and toes-round or pointed are the options for shoes lDl. Regardless of this, however, the styles of a particular period bear a distinctive touch to distinguish them from other years. Patterned pants lEl worn today are the combination of those pants sailors wore and the artistic patterns ofthe Indian culture. The com- binations of two or three periods of fashion creates another, which the people call all their own.

D , 'L King of Hearts Dance and the novel Spirit Week. At the dance, held on Valentine's Day, each girl was given a momento program lAl and several pieces of heart-shaped candy. Music was presented by The Chancellors of Zanesville. Spirit Week, held for the first time this year, created much class com- petition in the form of a hall decoration contest lBl and a pep assembly. After the victory over Lancaster, mock Dating and lCl Newlywed Games were conducted. The musical talents of lDl Karl Kesselring and Dave Gifford provided intermission entertainment. 11
