It tells of the activities of two green and naive college girls on their trip abroad. The clever Weaving of romance, chicken pox, and safety pockets, on shipboard, plus acting lessons and bed bugs in Paris make for hilarious comedy. The cast of seventeen gave a performance not soon to be forgotten. A DATE WITH JUDY A Date with Judy is a comedy in three acts adopted from the radio program of the same name by Aleen Leslie. This play presents people who live as our next door neighbors and friends. The active imagination of Judy plus the teasing of brother Randolph make for good wholesome comedy. This play for old and young alike typiiies American home life. E491 Qriginal . . . greets students twice oi month. Journalism classes add to knowledge of the stonj. M i ss Geiger DAS GEHEIMNISVOLLE DORF The mysterious village, Germelshausen, reappears once every hundred years for a single day. Over this village hovers a dust cloud which obscures the sun. There are no birds, the people wear ancient costumes and speak a strange tongue. Arnold, a young artist, encounters Gertrude, the schoolmaster's daughter from the mysterious village. She awaits her lover, Henry, from whom she parted a century ago. Since Henry does not arrive, she invites Arnold to remain in the village until he will have redecorated the interior of the church. He is amazed to learn from her mother's tomb- stone that the youthful Gertrude is more than six hundred years old. To save Arn0ld's widowed mother and small sisters keen sorrow, should he remain to share the fate of the village, Gertrude conducts him outside the city Wall before the clock strikes twelve. DAS PETERLE VON NURNBERG Peterkin of Nurenberg, orphaned when very young, was reared in the Trille house- hold, which consisted of Mr. Trille, a master shoemaker, his wife, their son Joey, and daughter, Little Eva. When Joey's jealousy turned Master Trille against the orphan, he found a home with a kind priest, Father Cyrill, who educated him. Misplaced blame for a ruined painting resulted in a handsome bequest to Peterkin from the wealthy artist. The nameless orphan took the name of the artist and, after completing in Vienna a law course, he returned to Nurenberg to marry Little Eva. E691 Le Cercle Francais ' . . . is newly organized.
