This very impressive service was eondueted hy the eluh ofiieers and a short talk was given hy Reverend Tom Mziurer. This was the first year that the informal initiation was diseontinued. The events of the year were eondueted under the eapahle direetion of the new adyisor. Mr, Qlohnson. who gave much time and support to the sueeess of the eluh. Several aetiyities throughout the year included the selling of programs at the foothall games. interesting guest speakers who spoke on suhjeets of importance to all memhers. assistance at the orphans Christmas party. .1 ioint meeting with lVlfTeens at which time .1 panel discussion was held. a spring danee. and .1 hayfride. ln April .1 ioint Hi-Y and M-Teens eonferenee ll Secretary Dave Evans Treasurer Gene Cain was held at lf Cf. This eoiitierenee was planned to give an opportunity for presentation of views on prohlems related to safety in driving. govern- ment. school. modernizing the parents. religious groxyth. and nareoties. HifY arranged to have a Voeational fiuidanec Conference again this year. The group olitaiiied speakers and planned times for the individual talks. The eluh finaneed .1 representative to Camp Nelson Dodd. whieh is the Hi'Y oflieers' training eamp of this area. There is great PCFS11ILll gain as well as help for the eluli in following years when otlieers attend the 1-:eekflong camp, . -,.
