ns' will l S 20 BOYS si 1 STATE GIRLS' STATE My trip to Girls' State was very rewarding. I learned so many things by my stay. I stayed in Tucson for one week with a lot of girls. Towards the end of the week I grew to love and appreciate the girls as I do my friends. The main reason for my trip was to help -me learn more about out government and how it is run. I also learned that people can get along with one another and all of us can be friends, if we just try. I want to thank everyone who helped send me. Being a Boys' Stater is one of the most prestigious and rewarding experiences that can happen to a high school student. We set up a mythical 51st state patterned after the governmental set-up of Arizona. All types of our nation's government branches-local, state, and national-were simulated, as well as, governmental services such as law enforcement and recreation. The most valuable asset I gained from this experience was how to get along with and work with other people. This is one thing that keeps our nation as great as it is. We are our nation's future leaders. As problems facing our nation will soon be upon our shoulders I urge you, my fellow students, to take interest in our government and its functions for a better tomorrow.
