TUT ON, SC, USNR Disbursing Officer In the well-oiled workings of Marias, the Supply Department, under the able leadership of LTJG Scroggs and ENS Tuton, performs a major function. The duties of this department are important for not only the material condition of the ship, but the morale of the crew also. Whether it be supplying materials, or giving a hair-cut, the Supply Department aboard Marias works in a quick, efficient manner to give the best possible results for all concerned. All fuels. Deck Cargo and supplies, whether Marias be receiving or transferring, are accountable to the Supply Department. Besides this, all ship-to-ship phones and bridge watches during re- fuelings are assigned to Supply personnel. These circumstances made for many long hours during the Marias ' operations in the Mediterranean. To this department we extend many thanks, and a hearty well done. Supply T)cpartmeHt J.
