Fillies catcher Ioy Shamay concentrates on the field of play before flashing the sign for the upcoming pitch. The perennial softball powers of Marian take to the diamond each spring to prepare for another success- ful season. Incessant drilling in the rudiments of defensive and offensive play has developed the girls' squad into a coordinated victory machine. GULF team invades fairways By establishing confidence in each golfer's ability, Coach Wink Gallagher built a winning team from individual talent. The golf team s victorious slate in 1972 was a tribute to Mr. Gallagher's method and personal effort on the part of each team member.
