Guided by Sister Marie de Lourdes the council members and homeroom representatives worked with the students, faculty and administration to in- sure Marian spirit both in scholastic life and in extracurricular activities. The student government, carrying out the responsi- bility of representing the students, attempted to provide an opportunity for everyone to be heard on the important issues. The members of the Youth Corps attempted to demonstrate the Christian concept of love to persons less fortunate than Marian stu- dents through their various projects. Their special concern was evident in their many trips to rest homes, hospitals and orphanages. During a typical visit the Youth Corps pro- vided entertainment and refreshments or merely gave some of their time to persons who needed help. Moderated by Sister Dolores lean and Father Kean, the Marian Youth Corps directed its energies to using individual talents and displaying genuine love and understanding. Youth Corps officers, Marilyn Erschen, Bill Krajcirik, Monica Chonko, and Bob lnfante look at photographs from a recent trip with Father Kean and Sister Dolores lean. The children from St. Francis' Orphanage seem to be enjoying the refreshments, as Youth Corps mem- bers entertain them during the Christmas season. Debra Kolbush and Cynthia Lynch prepare cancelled stamps for the Missions, one of the many projects of the Youth Corps. MARIAN YOUTH CGRPS exemplifies love and understanding
