Marian students set Man has learned that in his attempt to be a unique individual he must first conform to society and be educated. For only through knowledge and expe- rience can an individual formulate ideas and select the path indicated by his own special drummer. From the newly initiated freshman to students on the threshold of senior year, the Marian underclassmen were consistently moti- vated to form a well-rounded individualism which will enable them to meet the responsibilities of the future.

In addition to the required courses, Marian students were offered the opportunity of choosing from a vari- ety of electives, each providing an outlet for their talents and energies. The arts presented cultural en- richment and instruction in specific skills while home economics, mechanical drawing, and driver education focused on more practical interests.
