PHYSICAL EDUC TIO Exercise improves fitness Inter-class competition in volleyball invigorates the girls' physical education program. Under the direction of a competent staff the students of Marian enthusiastically participated in courses de- signed to promote their physical development. The girls enjoyed an extensive program of volleyball, field hockey, gymnastics and the fundamentals of basket- ball. The male population, in addition to an intensive gymnastics course, worked out with weights and played a variety of team sports. The students of Colt Country had the good fortune of using modern gym equipment in a program dedicated to teaching them that bodily fitness deserves a place equal to scholastic achievement.
