Father O'Mahoney teaches World Geography, Christian Call, and Califomia History. He is also our fiery soccer coach, and is known as our resident Irish- man, replete with songs, stories, and a real Irish bro- gue. 381' Mr. joe Schanberger replaced Mrs. Terrell in Alge- bra I, Calculus, and Algebra Topics for the second semester of the school year. He adapted quickly to the Marian philosophy and system after having spent past years in some interesting teaching positions else- where. ' ' .X . 'W i.-,ts-as Mrs. jill Terrell, so well known and loved for her gentle, understanding nature, left mid-year to attend to an event even more blessed than her Algebra I, Calculus, and Algebra Topics lessons: the birth of her first child. The seniors especially miss her, but first things first, right? Mrs. janice Quiel is especially known and loved by two groups of students: her developmental reading classes, and the cheerleaders, of whom she is modera- tor. Mrs. Quiel's patience and hard work with her students pays off when we see the rising achieve- ment of our students' test scores. ,X Mr. joe Sobkowiak, a favorite among Marian's slave traders, is a member of the Social Studies fwestem Civ and American Historyl and PE depart- ments. He also coached a successful ,IV basketball team. Mr. Sobkowiak is the ultimate in cool Sister Vivian, the one and only member of the fac- ulty who has been teaching at Marian since the day its doors were opened, continues her outstanding classes in the areas of Fine Arts and Religion, Even after all these years, her energy is boundless! Besides this huge head- ache of his, he spends his time working in the Cam- pus Ministry program, often saying masses for retreat groups, and teaching Scripture to seniors. Sister Suzanne Marie spends most of her well- organized time schedule in counseling the sopho- mores and working in the Campus Ministry depart- ment, especially in the area of retreat planning. She also teaches English II and Scripture. Mr. Mike Wilga, a particularly popular teacher especially among the football linebackets he coaches, has responsibilty for a full class load of Advanced Health, Math Fundamentals, and Physical Science. Also an honorary member of the Skoal Brothers. . ....
