Mrs. Maria Acosta's day at school is a long and var- ied one. Her main duty is that of school librarian, but she also teaches an English I class and a Spanish I class. Then it's back to the library during the stu- dents' off-hours to help them in their never-ending search for the information they need now. aauffly Mr. Mike Bajo is one of the quieter, more reserved members of the faculty. But he might crack a smile by january and maybe even tell a joke or two by May. His students in Physical Science, Biology, and Phys- ics play Stump the Teacher often, but he claims they never win. But his claims to fame are his marathon tests in Chemistry and Physics. Mrs. Kirsten Bruce has this year taken on the task of coordinating the Christian Service Program, which has won such acclaim from the community. She also takes part in the Campus Ministry Program by working with the guitar group and singing for school masses. Mrs. Bruce also teaches all levels of Mr. jim Butler teaches part time at Marian, in the Science and PE departments. He coaches football in the fall and the very successful girls' track team in the spring season. He has made immense improve- ments in our darkroom facilities and has trained some excellent photographers. F rcnch, Miss Gloria Cash is forever running like crazy to work through the millions of details of the seniors' futures with them. She counsels all of them as to col- lege and career choices besides teaching a full load in the English department C English II and Honors Eng- lish 45. 'I f . ' rich!!! Mr. john Coleman, alias Mr. Sarcasm, is new to the faculty this year. He teaches U.S. Government, the senior social studies electives, and Math Fundamen- tals. Even with all this, he foimd time to coach soft- ball and marry his high school sweetheart. ik Mrs. Karen Day spent most of the fall sports season on the phone and in interviews with various sports reporters from throughout the county, all, of course, due to her fantastic success with her girls' volleyball team. She also teaches every class of girls' PE and is Girls' Athletic Director.
