Beginning our ninth year of the tour we lost Beverly nargens and bva Cden, but we acqulred John Dorr, Frarcls heilsen Janet Hagenbucher and Phyllis Coch rane This year we were blessed with six entirely new instructors They were .r Leonard Ask Mr Harold Ripple Va' Stan Brown, Mrs Floy Johnson Miss Elonse Belknap. and Mr Fred Benton hveryth1ng durlng this year's trip was ex citlng and different There were lots of parties between stops but thereis one we will always remember our initiation This year closed with a picnic at Paul l1na Lake We regret an unfortunate m1shap whereby Annette Dorr was acc1dently THROWN 1nto the lake Close to the end ol this vear we received a replacement for Miss Belknap, who left cur plane when we stooped to refuel at Hawaii s Ray Dirkson came aboard to take her place Our tenth year began with the replacement of Mr Benton and Mr Brown The 'handsome coach, Dick Richardson Mrs Lorraine Meehan was one of our new in structors this year We lost two passengers because they cculdn't standihe high altitude any longer They were Karen Weicht and Wilmer Heesch Beverly Rargens transferred to a different airllnes, while Eugene Ball Joined us The highlight of this year was when we all visited the Shrine Circus The flight ended this year with a picnic at Mill Creek The eleventh year started with the same passengers The new instructors this year were Mr Harry Helgason and Mr Curtis Risk Our Junior class play, uCinderella Cottage. was given under the direction of M s Johns Thus year we were called back to Des Moines to attend a meeting at which all the passen gers met and shook hands with Governor Leo Hoegh While we were in Des Moines we decided to climb to the top of the Capitol Arter our excursion in Des Moines we immediately left again to visit the Orient We held a large prom and banquet in China our theme was Oriental Gardens which will be remembered for 8 loag time The twelfth and last year started on August 29 1955 This year was the most important year of all because it was the last Robert Meyer left us this year We got four new instructors who were Miss Strand, Mrs Krauth. Mr Rich ards, and Miss Messersmith The highlights of this year were all the parties and things that we did between stops and the senior class play Ghost Wanted ' Everyone hated to see their long trip ccme to a close, but the trip was very profitable from the beginning to the end The class is now looking forward to May 18, when they hope to draw to a conclusion their tour of the past thirteen years 1 1 1 ' ye..
