Students worked for many rea- SODS-IO help out at home, save for col- lege, or just for a few extra dollars. Whatever the job and whatever the reason, students worked hard. Co-operative Office Education KCOEJ was one job program in the business department at Marcos. ln this program, students received help finding office jobs at such places as Salt River Project, lawyers' offices, and Arizona State Uni- versity. Students were paid while they received credit for their work. Mrs. Crews was in charge of the COE pro- gram at Marcos. Students also enjoyed working at re- tail stores and restaurants. Michelle Ab- bot was one sophomore who worked hard and did not have to worry about grades. I usually work nights so I have time to do my homework after school. Michelle works about twenty hours a week at McDonalds. I work for extra money to put away for a car, she added. In any case, the students here worked hard for their money the past school year.
