Downhill ll The Way For Skiers Mrs. Peterson's Ski Club entered its tenth year with the purpose of provid- ing students with a chance to ski with friends and other students. The club was rather large with fifty-five mem- bers, which was more than last year. The group met on the first Tuesday of wh ii at 55 V .V gm., M Top Left: Ski Club. Band Shows School Spirit Eighty-three members of the band met at 6:45 a.m. and practiced through first hour everyday. They were led by Mr. john Clement and an extensive band council, consisting of President Richard Harris, Vice President jennifer Meador, Secretary Chrissy Hedland, and Treasurer julie Whipple. Addition- al positions of responsibility were held by Librarians Nancy Harper and Mi- chelle Lowe, Equipment Managers Catalina Alverez and jenny West, Uni- form Managers Blake Tyler and Amy Wetzel, Photographer Rachel Connel- ly, Alumni Secretary lenni Summers, and Flag Captain Becky Davidson. The band raised funds through candy sales, cheese and sausage sales, and car wash- es. Club Help With Careers Marcos de Niza's Auto club had high expectations for the year. Auto Club has been in existence for ten years. This organization's purpose was to increase knowledge in technical fields, but specifically the auto field. The twenty- five members planned several fund- raisers for the year. These included T- shirt sales, candy sales, and a car bash. Auto Club's projects consisted of car shows, races, and service projects. Offi- cers were President Scott Bosseng Vice President Tom Buhnerkempe, and Sec- retaryfTreasurer, Steve Boremen. The sponsors were Mr. Villaverde and Mr. Painter. Art Club finished its fourteenth year at Marcos de Niza and focused on pro- viding artistic services for different clubs and organizations on campus.
