Student Council Brings Students Together Marcos' school activities numbered in the hundreds throughout the year. When it was time to bring students to- gether as a whole, student council was most likely involved. From the first assembly of the year to the last, careful planning by sponsor lohn Placona and the rest of the coun- cil provided the student body with or- ganized activities. Student body offi- cers were elected in late April by all four classes and included President Martin Despain, Vice President Brad Devar, Sports and Spirit Commissioner Vinnie Canecchia, and Public Relations Director Lisa Mancuso. holding Prom for the senior class. ln order to hold this year's event at The Pointe, the class officers, including President Michelle Guzman, Vice President Kelley Arredondo, Secretary Donnelle Dumas, Treasurer Tiffany Ross, Boy's Rep johnny Chin, and Girls' Rep Karen Randall, sponsored a num- ber of fund raisers. Senior activities were somewhat less hectic. The senior class trip to Mazatlan was the seniors' only major activity. ln- volvement from all four classes seemed to be in abundance. The schools' stu- dent leaders are tomorrow's future leaders. This year's council of twenty- two members helped students from all corners of Marcos come together as one. f -151, rf. it , N, I, A 5' bove left: Officers discuss activities for spirit week. bove right: Senior Cathy Copple thinks of new deas for the senior class fundraisers.
