Backed by the coaching of Mr. Ron Cosner, the team was able to pull away with a 9-6-1 record and a tenth-place ranking in state. Mr. Cosner believes his strong point of coaching is llike like to think Iknow a little about golf Other coaches just organize the teams. Some of the talented boy golfers on the team were Mark Vrabel, joe Hu- guez, and Mike Duff. The girl's golf team, under the coaching of Mr. john Lassen, had a Ranking more-than-satisfactory year. Although this year's team is slightly behind last year's, Mr. Lassen was confident his members will pull through with a strong finish, and they did. Some of the outstanding girl golfers were Rhonda Perris, jodi Fults, Pam Da- vis, and Mindy Verdugo. Mr. Lassen believes in working hard during practice, but having fun while doing so. With eleven wins and five losses, the inspiration to be the best led them to victory. Mrs. Brunk, the junior Varsity's Head Coach, stated that it was hard to pick out just one outstanding player, since every player contributed and did their own part. Nevertheless, Trisha Conley was chosen as the most outstanding player. The Freshman Volleyball team had five wins and seven losses, but won the last four out of six games. Mr. Worthy the freshman Head Coach said that they improved as the season pro- gressed. Moreover, everyone was real- ly dedicated and serious about the team.
