For the past nine years, the freshman has devoted her time and effort to the art of ballet, and she does not plan on giving it up. She claims no one really ersuaded her to dance, she simply ecame interested and wanted to try her luck. Tamara presently dances with Ad- ams Ballet Academy. She practices three hours a day, six days a week. Why such devotion? Tamara is train- ing for the famous ballet, The Nut- cracker, produced by the dance com- pany, Ballet Arizona. Tamara's accomplishments include placing seventh at the Arizona Dance Guild Ballet Competition and winning a few scholarships to summer ballet schools in San Fransisco and Seattle. Tamara has also been to New York for the past two summers erforming on a scholarship with thye Schoo of American Ba let. Her future goal is mainly to keep with ballet. College, at this point, is undecided. Regarding her success, Tamara be- lieves, If you try hard enough and be- lieve in yourseli you can achieve any- thing. Classes v 113
