5? YU:g3S,lDEE AJL? Ps presents THE CLAS S QI: Freshman students approached their first year of high school with the realization that this was their time to mature. Although at first, they were frightened by a larger school, upperclassmen, and harder courses, the freshmen soon found their places in the 1986-87 year. Leading the way were the freshman class officers Chris Mitchell, president, Katie Si- sulak, vice president, Heidi Schultz, secre- tary, Eric jenson, treasurer, Robin Lutes, girl's representative, and jeff Bell, boy's re- presentative. Mrs. Cardona, sponsor, added direction and guidance. 1 it Top right: Keahi Forbes works to complete her assignment in Typing. Top left: Freshman stu- dents socialize during their lunch hour. Above: Duke Buntigan 'enjoys his leisure time during photojournalism. Right: Mac Gillis and Gary Mit- chinski discuss their upcoming weekend outside the 300 building. 100 Classes The freshman class displayed great en- thusiasm during class competitions. Win- ning a few competitions helped them gain the recognition and the respect of the up- perclassmen. Fundraisers, mainly candy sales, were suc- cessful. More activities were planned for later in the year, the class of 1990 was very concerned with getting involved with the school. Now prepared for their sophomore year, the class of 1990 is ready to lead Marcos with continuinghigh spirit, as well as great- er personal development. 39
