Kittens, Cubs Aim At Eliminating Errors No mental mistakes is among the things that Coach Dyer wanted to impress upon his Junior Varsity baseball team. With the mental errors kept to minimum, more time was left to sharpen physical skills. The freshman baseball team had a small roster which allowed Mr. Catt to focus on each player's weaknesses. Stressing discipline, he hoped to prepare them for competi- tion on the Junior Varsity and varsity levels. l. Danny Cisco warms up his arm for practice. 2. Returning Lettermen Fill Baseball Line-L Varsity baseball players expected a good year for post- season victories. They had plenty of senior talent and a few promising juniors. Seven of the eight returning members were starters last year. The coaches felt that an improve- ment in the pitching staff would be a big step toward capturing a title. l.
