Cubs' Basketball Goes Through Ups xR44, This year's Marana junior varsity basketball squad didn't do as well as they should have, commented the team's new head coach James Brady. They had difficulties throughout the season. They would win one game and then turn around and lose the next - a fact that hurt their win- loss record. l. K3 3 Freshmen Exhibit Attitude To Win The purpose of the freshman program was to prepare the first year athletes for future success on the varsity level by introducing the goals of the program and devel- oping the proper skills and attitude. This year's freshmen exhibited a very positive attitude toward the game and worked very hard to develop their skills. Unfortunately, due to tough competition the team's record 7-10 did not reflect its true character, according to Coach Videbeck. They lost four of their gamesby two points or less.
