Lure of rodeo attracts clubs membership Rodeo Club members par- ticipated in three types of rodeo activities. They were bull riding and calf roping for the guys and goat tying for girls. The participating members made up a competitive team headed by Jeff Holt. The team members practiced twice a month in their own arena. This clubs' major competi- tion came mainly from private schools. The only other public school whose rodeo club is organized in the same man- ner is Cholla. In February Rodeo Club chose its royalty. This years' royalty are Sherry Hummer, queen, and Mark McLaughin, king. 1. Members of Rodeo Club are Don Clawsom, Randy Stonehouse, John Yeomans, Sherry Hummer, Tammy Richins, Jennifer Yeomans, Suzanne Brown, Jeff Frizzell and Jeff Holt. 2. 1155 'QQ 5 N KAISEP Members start as Greenhands Greenhands are first year members of Future Farmers of America. Before be- coming a member, they have an initiation that starts with a early morning break- fast. This proceeds the annual ceremony of each new member getting their hand painted green. ln the afternoon the new members participated in several games such as pushing a bale of hay across the football field and a game of tug-o-war across an enormous mud puddle. To end the fun filled day, a hay ride was taken all around the area of Marana. After taking part, each new member was officially de- clared a Greenhand. 1. Nancy Henson and Pat Schoonover wait for the pancakes to finish cooking. 2.
