' 1 TS ts .rg l ,W V, til Marana's Future Farmers of America are a active club that has many events during the year. Some of the mon- ey-raising projects are barbeques and breakfasts. There are two levels for FFA. They are Greenhands, which are first year members, and Chapter farmers, which are second year and up. 1. Chapter Farmers are QFirst Rowj Alan Copenhaver, Mike Glover, Brad Lynn, Tony Schwager, Steve Young, Quintin Nesbitt, Karl Anderson, Doug Neilson, Don Clausen and Mr. Tom Jones. fSecond Rowb John Yeomans, Allena Snyder, Laurie Singleton, Jennifer Yeomans, Tammy Richens, Tammy Hendrickson, Pat Burgos, Nancy Henson, Tammy Wil- liams and Sparky Sparks. 1155 'QQ 5 N KAISEP Members start as Greenhands Greenhands are first year members of Future Farmers of America. Before be- coming a member, they have an initiation that starts with a early morning break- fast. This proceeds the annual ceremony of each new member getting their hand painted green. ln the afternoon the new members participated in several games such as pushing a bale of hay across the football field and a game of tug-o-war across an enormous mud puddle. To end the fun filled day, a hay ride was taken all around the area of Marana. After taking part, each new member was officially de- clared a Greenhand. 1. Nancy Henson and Pat Schoonover wait for the pancakes to finish cooking. 2.
