88 FMCC Medicine links members Future Medical Careers Club was an organization that had as its purpose acquainting students with medical careers. lt pointed out many opportunities available in medicine, gave the students a realistic view of educational and personal requirements in the fields related to medicine, and allowed them to associate with persons already active in the medical field. Attempts to get speakers and trips to confer- ences at the university hospital provided some of the activities members were involved in. 1. Stacey Brown, the president of the Fu- ture Medical Careers Club, and Mr. Lar- son, advisor, study some various types of medicines. 2. To promote school spirit they sponsored such things as 7:30 morning breakfasts for the foot- ball team and also made locker favors for the team. Mom and Dad's Night, spon- sored by V-club in order to honor the mother's and father's of the football players, included a pre- game reception before the game. 1.
