lub works to promote school spirit 11, This year the Victory Club of Marana worked toward achieving the goal of promoting school spir- it. To promote school spirit they sponsored such things as 7:30 morning breakfasts for the foot- ball team and also made locker favors for the team. Mom and Dad's Night, spon- sored by V-club in order to honor the mother's and father's of the football players, included a pre- game reception before the game. 1. Club brings a touch of France to campu The French Club was in its second year at the high school offering stu- dents some French vocabulary, along with giving them the opportu- nity to bake and sample different French cuisines. To learn about France, the club had French pen pals with whom they corresponded. As fund raising projects, the French Club sold French cheese cake, at the Fine Arts' festival, and in the second semester of the year, they sold Shaklee products. 1. Members of the French Club make tissue flowers to help decorate the school for Up With People. 2. 88 FMCC Medicine links members Future Medical Careers Club was an organization that had as its purpose acquainting students with medical careers. lt pointed out many opportunities available in medicine, gave the students a realistic view of educational and personal requirements in the fields related to medicine, and allowed them to associate with persons already active in the medical field. Attempts to get speakers and trips to confer- ences at the university hospital provided some of the activities members were involved in. 1. Stacey Brown, the president of the Fu- ture Medical Careers Club, and Mr. Lar- son, advisor, study some various types of medicines. 2. Members of Future Medical Careers Club are Munson Steed, Barbara Fischer, Mr. Larson, Stacey Brown, Lori Brant and Sidney Thomas. lf: HLLV'
