Future Business Leaders of America CFBLAJ is a nationwide organization that teaches high school students the functions of the business world. FBLA sold turkey cookies and delivered them at Thanksgiving. At Christmas, they sold stationary and mistletoe. On Valentine's day, they sold carnations. They sold them at the dance they held later in the same week. Revenue from projects as well as their ever-popular candy store is used for scholarships. A community service project was also thorough train- ing in clerical skills and business machines and pro- cedures is provided. 1. Members of the Future Business Leaders of America FBLA are CFirst Rowj Lisa Kern, Marilyn Gacilos, Teresa Polashek, Diane Herron, and Sherri James. CSecond Rowl Donna Spicola, Beverly Hogg, Lisa Sexton, Annette Holt, Whitney Hamby, Mrs. Lantych, Juanita Smith, Monica Anderson and Melody Janson. 2. Students flock to the well-known candy store. 3. 76 Divers Large group develops on the job skill Mr. Hawkins and Mrs. Carpenter headed the Diversified Coopera- tive Education class, which helped students to prepare for future careers. Some of the jobs students held included teachers' aide, secretary, dog pound dispatcher, dental assistant, switch board operator and sheriff's dispatcher. 1. Deadline dodging staff compiles yearboo The production of the year- book is the objective of all the members of the yearbook staff. They work hard all year long try- ing to meet deadlines so the yearbook can be handed out at the end of the year. Problems the staff deals with are getting layouts, captions, and copy fin- ished by deadlines. Another wor- ry of the staff is the selling of advertisments. These advertis- ments drops the cost of the yearbook. 1. Yearbook staff members are Diane Ev- ans, Kurt Venos, Summer Hawkins, and Charlie Sundgaard.
