Included in the fine arts presentations were selections played by the stage band, songs sung by the chorus, and an art display by the art classes. Boothes that sold cheese cake and other goodies were set up around the commons area. Drama actors, from Othello, put on a sword fight and also a fist fight. lt was all fake, but it looked genuine. Spanish classes presented a full ten-course Mexican dinner. Participation from the elementary schools was a new addi- tion to this year's festival, and each child was given a silk- screened dragon picture as they visited the Art Department's display. 1. Some artwork resembled things? 2. Students admire the art work as they help set up displays and can't help touching them. 3. Frank Gonzales shows how most of the artwork came about for the Art Festival. 4. Stephanie Nelson looks on as Ralph Gonzales paints an original design. 5. Proud students post their artwork in order for it to be displayed. . l x, vor! f l if N X k , m y 'ax 4- 1 i .e-' : Wiiifs ,.,, . , 4 f 1 , A xxkx . - f m Q ' 'F 's ,L L 0 :wi - A . -32,5 ,. Twirlers Mary Halbach and Deb- bie Mapes did an outstanding job as soloists, as well as a team. Their ef- forts brought several trophies and awards this summer at camp. 1.
