Physical, mental skills combine This year's Vocational Agriculture, Shop, Home Economics and Phys- ical Education Departments all worked toward the goal of providing students with skills that could be useful in a practical experience and possibly toward a future career. ln the vocational agricultural classes, the concentration was on agricultural techniques and management. The shop teachers stressed the safe use of welding machines, and the fine art of working on and rebuilding automobile engines. The home economics teachers taught child development to students, as well as cooking and sewing. For the first time at Marana High School, students were provided with co-educational physical education classes. These classes were well attended, and dealt with teaching students how to keep their bodies in shape as well as teaching various game skills. 1. Mr. Neppl lectures to his Vo-Ag class over special techniques in growing cotton. 2. Mr. Eminowicz shows Allena Snyder how to fix a small engine carborator. 3.
