Vocational, Cultural, ana' Physical Interests The stage is set for various uses in our new auditorium. M asic Department Manual has always been noted for its fine vocal music department, stage band, orchestra, and marching band. Our choir this year, has made a wonderful effort and their wish for new robes will soon be full -filled. The band, also, is working to buy new uniforms. Physical Eclacation Along with the regular Physical Education Classes, all sophomores have Driver's Educa- tion Classes twice a week and seniors have Health classes. With the new facilities the ac- tivities has greatly increased. The old locker room above has been deserted for the last time. Business Department The purpose of the Business Department is '50 prepare young people for jobs in business offices and to build an understanding of our economic structure in order to be good citizens. mne Eeonmnies ann' nelustrznl A nfs The Home Economics Department offers a variety of courses in clothing, home nursing, foods, and home decoration for any girl in- terested in a career of or becoming a future homemaker. The Industrial Arts Department helps a boy decide in what field he would like to work. Students wind up the press for the last time in the old school. 24- Thetyping rooms ofthe old school are quite different from the new ones.

Peoria is truly lucky to have such a competent person as the head of its school system. Dr. Bills, who is dedicated to progress, avidly sup- ported the move to our new school. Through the interest of the Board of Educa- tion, our new school has moved forward. Com- posed of dedicated citizens, the Board serves the communitywithout monetary compensation, The administrative policies which the present Board determines affect the future of our com- munity.
